Julie Decker, Ph.D., has been a guest curator at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art for twelve years. She is a director of the International Gallery of Contemporary Art, a board member of the Alaska Design Forum, and an instructor in Art History and Literature for the University of Alaska. She also works as an artist and a freelance writer. Julie has authored numerous articles and publications on the art of Alaska, including John Hoover: Art & Life, Icebreakers: Alaska's Most Innovative Artists and Found & Assembled in Alaska.
